And that reason is software that is secure and works good. But they are also the biggest player for a reason. and they have their issues, like all companies. sure their prices jump, like all companies, they have done some shady things with pricing changes, like all companies. Things like that make me lean towards LMI. Whereas with LMI it HAS to be a local admin. ( i actually spoke with splashtop dev and told him how much of a risk that is, and i think they were adding a "has to be admin to initiate" option. so if an account was comprised, someone could try to then use any of the hundreds of AD accounts to try to initiate a session. I have used spalshtop but they lack in features and security: for example with spalshtop once logged into the console, you can initiate a remote connection using any AD account that exists. But i am open to any suggestions you may have for alternatives. I know they have done some shady price changes. I am also not a huge fan of LMI, but it has always worked perfectly for me. So i am not sure what options i have in this scenario when i need to get lmi central installed to a computer, but do not have access to remote to and type in admin creds. I cannot remember if TV also required admin creds to install, but i dont think it did. two, the installer uses an api that you can load into a install. one, they have a one time session thing you can do. but this is an issue if i have no other way to remote to a user and punch that in.
